Kent State continues strong university enrollment by welcoming a record-setting freshman class, in terms of size, diversity, and quality based on GPA. These academically motivated freshmen have an average GPA of 3.4 and an average ACT score of above 23.
Thirty-seven students spent the spring 2017 semester away from BW learning off-campus. With help from the BW Study Abroad Center's Independent Study program, students created individualized immersion experiences in Australia, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Morocco, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Washington, D.C.

Twelve Dana School of Music students presented a voice recital Oct. 30 on the Youngstown State University campus under the direction of associate professor Misook Yun. The group, known as Misook Young's Voice Studio, performed a diverse repertoire from composers such as Debussy, Vivaldi, Schubert and Mozart.
Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music students will present "Mozart to Menotti," two short operas, as their final performance of the spring semester. The presentations are scheduled for 7:30 pm. Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22, and 2 p.m Sunday, April 23, at Bliss Hall on the YSU campus.
Now entering its third decade, Design x Nine, the in-house student design team in the University's Myers School of Art, continues its award-winning ways.
More than 500 students earned endowed scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University this fall. BW has a long history of endowed scholarship support from alumni, faculty, trustees and friends. More than 385 named scholarships provide over $3 million to help students attend, persist and graduate from BW. Endowed scholarships vary in their requirements with many specifying financial need, a course of study, involvement on campus or a commitment to excellence in a particular field.

Held on campus, undergraduate and graduate students were given the opportunity to share their research, creativity and professional learning experiences with the University and community.

Seventeen Baldwin Wallace University winter sport student-athletes earned Acaemic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors. A student-athlete must maintain a sophomore or higher class standing, maintain varsity status and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.496 (rounded up to 3.5).
The 41st annual Huntington University Forester Night celebrated the accomplishments of students from across campus, as well as the recognition of the Foresters of the Year, the 2012 Outstanding Scholar Award, the Impact Initiative Scholarship and the Professor of the Year.
